About the Artist
Florence Lingane is a disciplined and passionate Twenty-Three year old Composer at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. Currently in her fourth year, she studies under the guidance of the fabulous Gerard Brophy as well as mentoring from Maestra Stephanie Smith starting from the Young Conservatorium program. In 2024, Florence was awarded a Griffith Award for Academic Excellence and strives to deliver excellence in her craft while working towards a PhD. Her writing is characterful and captivating, dealing with tension and release to create very physical music. She uses these physical musical ideas to create Ballets and Operas.
